AT OUMC

Nursery Volunteer

Do you love babies and small children? Volunteers are needed to serve in the nursery from 9 am to 11:10 am on Sundays. This person needs to be Ministry Safe or become Ministry Safe. We have a schedule of about four or five people who help in the nursery so the requirement would most likely be only once a month.

Congregational Care Programs

Our dedicated Congregational Care volunteers offer ministries to meet the spiritual, emotional, physical, and relational needs of our church family and community. If you would like to learn more about serving in this ministry, please contact Kathy Dickey or Pastor Allie Grace Johnson.

Volunteers for Children & Student Programs

Our church has adopted the Ministry Safe program to assure the safety of our children. This process offers the most comprehensive screening strategies and forms. It’s our opinion that a fine-tuned screening process is far more effective than even the best background check. Creating a completely safe environment for children, students and adults is very important to us. In order for our Children and Students programs to succeed, we need volunteers to help encourage, mentor and teach them about the Word of God.

Serve on a Committee

Lay leadership is a critical part of our effectiveness as a local church. To learn more about committees and the qualifications/requirements to serve, please come to the Administrative Church Council Meeting held on the 2nd Sunday of the month following Worship Service.

If you’re interested in serving on a committee, please speak with someone on the Administrative Church Council and let them know what area interests you. All church members are welcome at any of our meetings.
